Psychiatric symptoms rarely exist in isolation. They are shaped by development, temperament, learning differences, stress, family dynamics, and the demands of school or work. I take time to understand these factors and the person behind them, so decisions are thoughtful, well-informed, and responsive rather than rushed.
My work reflects many years of advanced medical training and experience caring for both children and adults across a wide range of settings. I am double board certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and trained at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Stony Brook University Medical Center, and Zucker Hillside Hospital at Northwell Health–Hofstra School of Medicine. This background allows me to approach care with depth, perspective, and confidence.
In addition to my private practice, I have worked in emergency psychiatry, where I developed a calm, steady approach to crises, risk assessment, and safety planning. I currently work in a school-based mental health program, supporting children within the realities of their classrooms, families, and communities, and collaborating closely with parents, educators, and other professionals. This experience provides a deep understanding of the complex systems that shape a child’s functioning and well-being.
I am also a mother and a Long Island resident, which gives me a practical, lived understanding of the pressures families and individuals face in everyday life. Beyond direct patient care, I have been invited to contribute my expertise through podcast appearances, book chapters, consultation to local school districts, and close collaboration with pediatricians and primary care providers. I bring both clinical expertise and genuine care to my work, taking the time to listen, explain, and stay involved as needs evolve so that patients and families feel supported, understood, and guided over time.
